PANE IN THE GLASS PRODUCTIONS

 MY USED-TO-BE-LIFE

My soon-to-be ex from my used-to-be life
Made me regret that I was his wife.
From his day-to-day schemes
In our might-have-been dreams,
Our should-have-been love became strife.

In the beginning, could-do-no-wrong.
In-love-forever made our bond strong,
But his drift-apart-fever,
And deception-weaver,
Made the days lonely and the nights, oh, so long.

Got on-the-job training from my old used-to-be.
The lessons I learned taught no sympathy,
For any good-for-nothin’s
Or even good-for-somethin’s,
Except for his wife next-to-be.
